I thought I'd play along with Randy Seaver's Saturday Night Genealogy Fun. A week ago (OK, so I've been busy!) he put forth the weekly mission -
1) Write down which of your ancestors that you have met in person (yes, even if you were too young to remember them). 2) Tell us their names, where they lived, and their relationship to you in a blog post, or in comments to this post, or in comments on Facebook. This will be a short post! I've only got four. Mother - Rosemary Brown Hartman Kircher, born in San Francisco and died in San Rafael, California. Father - Thomas Bradley Kircher, born in Tiburon, California and died in Benicia, California. Maternal Grandmother - Mary Jane Hardy Brown - born in Amador, California and died in Kentfield, California, but lived much of her life in San Francisco Paternal Grandmother - Mary Agnes Bradley Kircher, born Lakeville (near Petaluma), California and died in Ross, California, but lived almost her entire life in Tiburon. That's it. Four.* Like I said - short post! *But the story goes that I almost got one more. My mother knew she was pregnant with me, but she didn't want to tell her father her exciting news over the phone and he died before she had the chance to visit him, about six months before I was born. So maybe I waved to Ira Sankey Brown when I was on my way in and he was on his way out.
